Teacher’s Day Honour for Dr. Dayanidhi: Receives ‘Rashtra Ratna Samman 2026’ in New Delhi for Outstanding Achievement in Healthcare & Medical Services
New Delhi/Patna: Renowned Clinical Embryologist Dr. Dayanidhi was conferred with the ‘Rashtra Ratna Samman 2026’ for Outstanding Achievement in Healthcare & Medical Services at a ceremony held at the Constitution Club of India, Sansad Marg, New Delhi, on 5 September 2026, coinciding with Teacher’s Day.
With over 17 years of experience in Clinical Embryology and Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), Dr. Dayanidhi has made significant contributions to reproductive medicine, IVF laboratory practices, academics, research and the training of embryologists in India.
A pioneer in formal education in Clinical Embryology, Dr. Dayanidhi was the first in India to pursue both postgraduate (MCE) and PhD qualifications in Clinical Embryology. He is also a Gold Medalist from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, and has built an extensive career in assisted reproduction.
Over the course of his professional journey, he has performed ICSI on more than 100,000 oocytes and has been involved in over 15,000 embryo transfers. His contribution extends beyond clinical practice to academics and capacity building, with more than 10 indexed scientific publications and the training and mentorship of over 200 embryologists.
Dr. Dayanidhi currently serves as Center Head, Indira IVF Hospital Limited, Patna, and Joint Secretary of the Indian Fertility Society (IFS), Bihar Chapter. He is also a Member (Embryology) of the Bihar State ART & Surrogacy Board, a Co-opted Member of the Academy of Clinical Embryologists (ACE) for 2026–28, and a member of the Institutional Ethics Committee of Indira IVF in Bihar.
Receiving the honour on Teacher’s Day made the occasion particularly significant. Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Dayanidhi said:
